Jubilee Athletic Association

Begun in 1991, Jubilee Athletic Association was an invention born out of necessity, but quickly developed into a purposeful ministry. In the first few years of this process, a vision for a youth "program" came into focus. This vision was simple and clear, if not somewhat radical. It went like this, "Instead of developing activities and programs within the church and then trying to get the kids to attend, why not find something beneficial that the kids are already doing and enjoying and do it with them?" Spending time interacting with the kids has always been the focus of the athletic association, even when the kids are sometimes young (and not so young) adults. It is our sincere belief that the time spent with them, using sports as a training tool, can not only enrich their lives now, but teach them valuable lessons and give them experiences that they can draw on for the rest of their lives.

It is also founded on the concept, "What you owe to those who came before  you, you pay to those who came after you." You see, many of us who volunteer our time and resources to  work  with the kids of our community (and surrounding areas) remember someone in our lives who unselfishly gave of themselves to contribute to our joy, happiness, learning experiences, and memories. They made a difference in who and what we are, and we owe a debt to them to do the same for those coming up.
It may seem a little old fashioned in our present sports scene, but it still works quite well.

Jubilee Athletic Assoc. is a division of Jubilee Ministry, but the Bullets Soccer Club is a civic organization, operated for the well being and enhancement of the citizens of the community. It is our way of giving back to others for what has been so richly bestowed on us. As a 501c(3) organization we found the paperwork in place, the oversight available, and the motivation sincere, so here we are!
